The Estate Agents Authority (EAA) sets two qualifying examinations. The SQE leads to a salesperson's licence. The EAQE leads to an estate agent's licence (individual) or a salesperson's licence. This page sets out both syllabi and the paper format, as at 11 Oct 2026, and shows which of our practice topics covers each part of the paper.
Both papers are multiple choice, 2 marks a question. You must score at least 60% in Part I and at least 60% in Part II in the same sitting. A strong Part I does not make up for a weak Part II.
