Your exam
SQE
Salesperson's licence
A salesperson's licence is all you need to work for a licensed agency. The SQE is shorter and cheaper, and it has computer-based sessions with faster results.
Next paper-based sittings
Computer-based SQE sittings are held frequently through the year. Check the PEAK website for the current computer-based dates.
The SQE leads to a salesperson's licence. The EAQE leads to an estate agent's licence (individual), which you need to own, be a partner or director of, or manage the office of a licensed agency, and it also qualifies you as a salesperson. Both exams need 60% in each part separately, and neither allows a calculator.
Sitting the SQE after passing the EAQE. Within 12 months of an EAQE pass you cannot sit the SQE, and you do not need to: the EAQE pass already qualifies you for a salesperson's licence. The full comparison is in SQE vs EAQE.
