Each sitting below starts at 2:30 pm, per the EAA schedules. Online registration takes a credit card. Postal registration takes a cheque or cashier's order payable to “Vocational Training Council”, and the postmark date counts.

Computer-based SQE. Computer-based SQE sittings are held frequently through the year. Check the PEAK website for the current computer-based dates. Computer-based registration is online only, on the PEAK website.
The EAA appoints the Institute of Professional Education And Knowledge (PEAK) of the Vocational Training Council to run the exams. You register with PEAK, not with the EAA.

Paper-based results are posted on the 14th working day after the exam; computer-based SQE results on the 7th working day. A pass is valid for a licence application for 12 months. To be licensed you must also be 18 or over, have Form 5 education or equivalent, and be fit and proper. If you pass a qualifying exam held after 1 Jan 2025 and are licensed on that result, mandatory CPD applies: 4 points for each 1-year licence, 8 for a 2-year licence.
